A STORY
In 1936, Louis Durand came down from the Cévennes with his herd of goats in search of a farmhouse. He arrived in the commune of St Nazaire des Gardies and stopped there for a nap, but when he woke up, his goats had invaded a vineyard. He then went to the hamlet of Cabrières, where he saw the owner, who offered him a glass of wine and sold him the farmhouse.

KNOW-HOW
The vines have been passed down for five generations, as has the expertise. Today, the estate covers 55 hectares of vines in the IGP Cévennes and AOP Duché d'Uzès appellations.

A COMMITMENT
The Mas des Cabrettes' philosophy is to respect the land it cultivates and to perpetuate the ancient regional grape varieties. This is why we preserve old plots of Aramon and Carignan, why we still work a plot with horses in the traditional way, and why we practice partial grassing on our farm. We will also be HVE3 certified for the 2022 harvest.
